The working cycle of the injection molding machine is often short, ranging from 2 seconds to several minutes. The procedures are shown below:
The hydraulic clamping unit pushes the two mold halves together and exerts sufficient force to keep the mold securely closed while the material is injected.
The raw material, usually plastic pellets, is heated and pressurized while being fed into the machine, and advanced into the mold by the injection unit.
Inside the mold, the molten plastic material is cooled the minute it is in contact with the mold interior surface, and then solidifies into the desired shape.
The cooled part will be ejected from the mold by the ejection unit after sufficient time. The ejection unit is attached to the either end of the mold.
